October’s “Lunch and Learn” topic was about social enterprises. Amanda Davies, Chief Executive of the Seren Group, gave a passionate and informative talk about what social enterprises are and how they differ from traditional company structures. She gave an insight into how her company helps to transform the lives of some of South Wales’s most vulnerable members of the community. The students listened with interest and then were able to apply this first-hand knowledge to subsequent business lessons.
