Howell’s community raises over £2,200 for Breast Cancer Care on International Women’s Day

Tuesday 8th March was International Women’s Day and to mark this significant day, the school held a Vintage Tea hosted by BBC journalist Rebecca John in the Great Hall from 1.45pm until 3.30pm. We were delighted that more than 100 people attended the event, which raised over £2,200 for Breast Cancer Care, a wonderful charity that provides care, information and support to people affected by breast cancer. Guests were entertained royally by upcoming West End star, Hannah Grover, accompanied by Rob Thorne, who gave their services free of charge, as well as our youngest girls in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.  It was a splendid occasion which celebrated the empowerment of women as well as raising funds for a worthy cause. Many thanks to everyone who attended for their exceptional generosity!
