Students in Years 8-11 have recently leant about an exciting new award to recognise girls who show initiative or entrepreneurial thinking in a STEM discipline. One student from each participating school is guaranteed to win £500 to further their idea and a day of mentoring with a tech entrepreneur. Howell’s is delighted to be amongst the 13 GDST schools participating in the Atherton Award this year.
To enter, students should demonstrate initiative by starting/completing a STEM project and then writing about the achievements. They should also discuss the challenges they faced, what they learned in the process and how they will develop their idea. Completed applications should be emailed to Mrs Harrison-Hughes by Tuesday 9th May 2023. Good luck!
