Baptism of ‘Baby Howell’

On Friday 15th February, Year 2 were joined by Mrs Ackland, who is training to be a priest within the Church-in-Wales. As part of their R.E lessons, the girls have been learning about a Christian baptism and the different elements of the service and their meaning. Mrs Ackland guided us through a service and helped to re-enact a baptism using our baby doll, who the girls named Howell.  All the girls were dressed for the special occasion and participated by being guests, parents, Godparents or by reading during the service.  We all enjoyed a celebratory cake at the party held afterwards. Many thanks to Mrs Ackland for leading the afternoon and for answering so many of the girls' thoughtful questions.
