Cardiff and Central South Wales Ski Slalom Competition

Howell's skiers had phenomenal success in the July 2018 Regional Ski Slalom Competition on Thursday 5th July, winning an amazing 17 medals! It was lovely to see students aged 6 to 17 years working together as a team, supporting each other and sharing in each other’s success.

Our junior team, Zuriel U (Y1), Lottie M (Y2), Charlotte H (Y3) and Jess M (Y5) came third overall in the primary competition. The girls skied brilliantly and each also had an individual success. Zuriel came 3rd in the U8 category, Charlotte came 3rd and Lottie came 1st in the U10 category and Jess secured Gold in the U12 category.

Our senior team were equally successful. Laura H and Lucy M (Y7), Ziraili U (Y10), and captain Louise S (Y12) came second overall in the secondary school competition. These students also had individual successes with Laura coming 3rd and Lucy 1st in the U14 unregistered category, and Ziraili coming 3rd and Louise coming 2nd in the U18 unregistered category. A special congratulations goes to Lucy who came 3rd overall.  The teams are now looking forward to the Welsh National Championships in Llangrannog in October 2018 and we wish them every success.
