On Monday 25th November, Year 11 girls took part in the ESU Public Speaking Competition Cardiff heat at the Cathedral School, competing against teams from Cardiff Sixth Form College, Ysgol Bro Edern, Y Pant School and the Cathedral School. Auvni P spoke eloquently on the value of apprenticeships, and Fiona W successfully chaired the presentation of Cathedral School’s guest speaker who explored how malaria can (and should) be cured, with Rhianne H expertly grilling the speaker in her role of questioner. The team were successful in progressing to the next round, the Wales final at Ty Hywel in March. Well done!
