Ten Howell's students from Years 7-10 took part in the EurVoice event, sponsored by Jenny Rathbone, AM, in the beautiful Pierhead Building in Cardiff Bay on Friday 31st March. After introductory ice-breaking games, Ritija B, Himani K (Year 7), Kavya B, Grace E, Trudy Y (Year 8), Noor A, Charlotte H, Ellie M (Year 9), Maddie B and Laura R (Year 10) were split into three groups with students from other schools to discuss the issues of the day: the future for Wales after Brexit; how those with mental health issues can be better supported in Wales; how to ensure the security of the UK in the light of the recent terrorist attack at Westminster.
In the afternoon, the students were invited to put their questions to a distinguished panel of Assembly Members and other interested parties in a Question and Answer session. It was a really interesting and enjoyable day.
