Jasmine Dances to Victory

On the first weekend of January, Year 9’s Jasmine W travelled to Blackpool to compete in two high profile dance competitions. On Friday, she competed in the  Open British Solo Latin Competition and she was placed third in both the under 14 and under 16 categories, she was also the highest placed Welsh competitor in both categories. It was a fantastic achievement, especially in the under 16s category to place so high at the age of 13.

The following day brought the Open British Champions Of Tomorrow which is one of the most prestigious British championships. She competed in the Beginners Under 16s with her new partner Thomas and they were took third place. This is a huge achievement for both of them especially for Thomas who only started to compete in November.

Many congratulations, Jasmine!
