Our biggest Poetry Picnic yet!

Our biggest Poetry Picnic yet!

Last Wednesday saw the biggest Poetry Picnic yet! It spanned Year 7 all the way to Year 13. Students read aloud their fantastic poems, which had been written over the year and they enjoyed listening to each other in the warm summer sun. Themes were wide-ranging from kidnapping to cats, grief to the Scottish Highlands, and more. The talent was, as always, exceptional.

Everyone also enjoyed a delicious picnic and they finished the event off with an ice-cream. It all went very well, except for when a rather cheeky seagull stole some ham sandwiches…perhaps he’d confused the word ‘Bird’ with ‘Bard.
