Our Netball teams shine

This half term our Netball players have achieved great success in a range of matches and tournaments.

One Year 7 team travelled to Oxford High School for the GDST netball competition. Competition was fierce, and although we didn’t come away with anything for the trophy cabinet, the players demonstrated excellent teamwork and learned a lot from their opponents. Congratulations also to our outstanding Year 7 netball team on their incredible performance at the Redmaids High tournament. Our Year 7 and Year 9 teams both made it into the final four for the county netball final qualifiers, winning matches against some very high-quality teams to get there. No hardware for them this time, but a great day’s play.

We took seven teams to Christ College Brecon, and enjoyed a great day of netball. It was a challenging day against some very competitive players, and we ended the day with a good balance of wins and losses.

Our oldest netball players, including several from Year 11, who stepped up to play for the Seniors team, met Whitchurch in the semifinal of the County Netball Final, coming back with the bronze trophy.
