On Wednesday 10th October, which was World Porridge Day, Year 7 enjoyed a lovely Porridge Smiles breakfast of porridge and lots of tasty toppings to raise money for Mary’s Meals, a charity that provides school children in Malawi, Zambia and Liberia with a daily bowl of porridge. The simple meal they receive attracts the world's poorest children to school and provides them with the nourishment and energy needed to focus on their education. Our Porridge Smiles event raised just under £50 – thank you all and well done!
