The Write Stuff

Before Christmas, students from Year 1 to Year 13 were encouraged to enter the GDST Creative Writing Prize. This year, the theme for the competition was Ambition and the entries were judged by Harriet Goodwin, an alumna of Bromley High School.

We were delighted to hear, this week, that Year 4's Tilly P won in her category with her story, The Quest of Hedgehog Bobus, which was described by Harriet as 'original, imaginative and compelling.' Tilly will receive a £100 Amazon voucher.

In the Year 10-11 category, Ellie McV's story, Artistic License To Kill was Highly Commended,  describing as having the 'best opening out of all the entries I read (all schools/all ages). Quirky and Dahlesque.'

We are so proud of all the students who submitted their writing to the competition, there were some really brilliant entries.

Tilly's entry can be read HERE, and Ellie's is HERE
