Many congratulations to Venetia S (Year 8), Woman Candidate Master, who was crowned the Welsh Ladies’ Chess Champion at the Welsh Chess Championships held at the Park Inn Hotel, Cardiff over the Easter weekend. She beat some of the top adult chess players in Wales to achieve this feat at the tender age of 13 years. In addition, Venetia also won the Welsh Under 21 and Under 18 chess championships.
