Year 5 & 6 Netball January 31st

The Year 5 and Year 6 netball teams took on The Cathedral School on Wednesday 31st January. The Year 5 team were up first, and thanks to some great defensive play and good shooting, scored more than 4 goals in each quarter to run out 20-3 winners. Amelia D picked up girl-of-the-game, but all girls performed superbly well. Well done to Sophie D, Georgie H, Tallula C, Rhea M, Carys M, Liana N and Bella C. Year 6, spurred on by the earlier result were equally strong, winning 17-3 thanks to a very balanced team performance. Frankie J played very well in all areas of the court to earn girl-of-the-game. Well done to Grace C, Issy C, Jess C, Freya M, Abigail S, Ella H, Olivia W and Amber P. Whilst on the sidelines, each team enjoyed analysing different facets of the game. Year 6 chose to tally the number of interceptions and circle entries in the Year 5 match to determine defensive success and attacking efficiency. Year 5 returned the favour by analysing the shooting percentages of Year 6, which thankfully proved to be very high!
