On Monday 14th January, the Year 1 enjoyed a delicious Stunning Start to their new topic, Food, Glorious Food! The girls were invited to bring their favourite teddy bear into school for a fun picnic. The girls (and some of their teddies) enjoyed toast with a variety of toppings, fruit and hot chocolate, all to the tune of The Teddy Bears’ Picnic. After reading Biscuit Bear by Mini Grey, we continued with the bear and food theme later in the week. The girls wrote exciting new adventures for Biscuit Bear and finished off by baking and decorating their very own Biscuit Bears, complete with icing aprons. Everyone walking through Ty Hapus on Thursday afternoon said our baking smelled delicious!
